Magan & Hope Engaged!

Oh my goodness!!! I can't wait to share these photos! We had an amazing time shooting them and I think it shows. The day we chose was originally going to be rainy and dreary, but then everything changed! It turned out to be the most amazing day with Spring in the air! Hope & Magan wanted to take some photos at Boyd Park in Saint Paul because it is a special place for them! Hope proposed at one of the benches in Boyd Park. So, we wandered over to their favorite bench and things began to fall into place. The people chatting at the picnic table decided to get up and wander off. We had the area we needed to ourselves. We took some photos at their bench and tried to get some of their doggy with his bowtie. (I'm told he's a bit of a princess and will not sit on cold or hard surfaces.) So Hope & Magan struggled him in their laps! What a dapper doggy! Hope & Magan have the most gorgeous rose gold engagement rings, so you know I had to get several detail shots on those beauties! I also just loved Hope's wooden watch, so that made it into the ring shot as well! These two have a gorgeous chemistry with each other and I don't think we stopped laughing the entire time! Next, we drove over to Irvine Park because of its cute gazebo and amazing flowering crabapples! Just our luck, they were in full bloom! We couldn't have planned it better if we tried! If you are looking for a cute place to have a picnic with your loved one, this is a romantic place! I'm looking forward to witnessing these two exchange vows in December at The Loft at Studio J!

Molly & Mike Married

Molly & Mike married at The Metropolitan Ballroom with their friends and family surrounding them. They had some truly fun details to their wedding including their own wedding monogram. The little bride & groom MM showed up everywhere from the table number holders to the menu. They made some really cool posters for guests to sign from their engagement photos at the Stone Arch Bridge. It was a beautiful wedding with pastel pink bridesmaid dresses, gold accents, and a champagne wedding dress. The flowers were made by Claire Briggs FloraIs. The bouquets had many types of flowers, but had soft pink roses and a pop of dark purple. The night was topped off by a live band! I was really fun to see everyone having a great time on the dance floor! I wish Molly & Mike many happy years together!!!

Latoya & Tom @ Lowertown Event Center Saint Paul, MInnesota

Latoya and Tom chose the lovely Lowertown Event Center to have their wedding ceremony and reception. Along with help from their friends and family, they were able to DIY much of the decor such as the beautiful table linens, cake platters, and antique books making up their centerpieces. (We were even able to capture some photos of the entire wedding party helping decorate the room. The ones of the groomsmen folding napkins is pretty cute!) Each table had its own cake from Nothing Bundt Cake that tasted as good as they looked! (The table I sat with even enjoyed their cake first before dinner! Lol!) Latoya picked out the gorgeous dusty rose fabric they made into the table linens. These table linens are beautiful and really set the scene at Lowertown Event Center for their romantic, vintage wedding! It seems blood, sweat and tears probably went into the planning of this wedding because the details were amazing! The beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces were designed by Colleen's Flower Cellar and just added all the more to the ladies' dresses as well as the room. Succulents were a unique addition to the bouquets and fit in so well for this winter/early spring wedding! Latoya looked stunning in her dress with details of lace in a champagne shade. As Latoya was preparing to get into her dress, I found out there would be a unique twist on tradition. Latoya requested that Tom get her into her dress! I snapped away as he helped her balance and was a complete gentleman. Lowertown Event Center has a separate ceremony space decorated with a wooden backdrop for ceremonies and also works well for formal family photos! We utilized some of the areas close Mear's Park for some quick outdoor wedding party portraits during cocktail hour since it was still quite cool weather.

Latoya and Tom's wedding details were spectacular, but what is always my favorite part of a wedding is listening to their loved ones during speeches. These two are truly a special couple who have been overjoyed to find each other and look forward to a lifetime together.

Latoya & Tom Engagement Historic Downtown Stillwater, MN

I'm so excited to share these photos of Latoya and Tom's engagement session! This couple will marry in March at the Lowertown Event Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. We had a great time walking through Historic Downtown Stillwater, Minnesota for their engagement session!

To our surprise, there was an antique car show going on the night we were shooting! I just love the bright colors of old cars!

I love to do ring shots! Since there was an antique car show going on, I just couldn't resist to use the awesome paint on the hood of this car!!!

I just love how these two smile when they look at each other! So sweet!

Walker Art Center Engagement: Jaime & Brent

They were two strangers in Florida working at Disney for a little extra cash and some summer fun! Everyone thinks Jaime was a Disney princess since she is so beautiful and could play the part of Snow White to a tee. She was an Ohio girl looking for a bit of fun in the sun and he was a Minnesota boy raised on his family farm. They both went out with friends one night and didn't expect to meet the person of their dreams. Their mutual friends introduced them, but it was a casual night and the fun went on as if nothing had happened. Jaime received a friend request and a private message right away from Brent. She wasn't sure what to think, but their mutual friends made sure the get them together right away! They hit it off and are now planning their wedding in Ohio this coming June!!!

The engagement session took place at the Walker Art Center, Sculpture Garden and Loring Park. These two love birds have recently relocated to Minneapolis and live nearby these beautiful locations! It was a gorgeous night in Minneapolis for engagement photos!
